Big O Birthday flowers

First off- to all of you who sent lovely Birthday messages, I thank you. I was home with a killer fever… Not nearly as bad off as Farrah and Michael- I can’t believe that they both died yesterday!

I decided to celebrate the birthday sometime in the next couple weeks, if I can’t go out and have some drinks with dinner and get crazy at a bar then what’s the point in celebrating right? Then again, I am a bit of a lush, in case you couldn’t tell already…

So even though I can’t drink, stay up late, or sing my head off (thank you Strep) I’m still going across the street from work to Cans for a little Naughty by Nature tonight and some Ice Ice Vanilla Ice Baby tomorrow. Kristen Stewart as Joan Jett

There was some talk about this a while ago… Who is going to play the cast of the biopic The Runaways? I knew a while ago that Kristen Stewart was on board, as you can see she’s already made the transformation into a hard core rocker chick…

And little Miss Dakota Fanning will be playing Cherie Currie. I have to say I don’t know much about the history of the band but after reading the synopsis I have to say it sounds pretty interesting- I came across another juicy bit about the lesbian scene that will be going on between Joan and Cherie, according to Life and Style…

“In one scene, the girls share an intense lip-lock and their clothes end up scattered all over their hotel-room floor,” the publication says of the pair. “Dakota’s very controlled and poised. She’s going to have to lose herself in this, because it’s really pretty heavy.”

I did a story at Mr. Skin last year about barely legal girls, I did mention Kristin being in this movie but what I couldn’t do was add Dakota because of her age (although she was on my list of “watch out for these girls” because she has already started to turn into a foxy young lady) you can’t say dirty things too early, there will be plenty of time for that later.

Olivia Munn in Playboy

I’m not sure what happened in the last year but it seems like there are “O”’s all over the place these days! This one shouldn’t come as a big surprise though, I can only imagine how many G4 geeks were writing/ emailing/ blogging/ tweeting the magazine begging for them to approach her…

Her real name is Lisa Olivia Munn (I’ll let it slide) and girlfriend and I were only born a week apart (not close enough to be twins, but still close)! She started out as a sports reporter which I don’t normally condone as a choice profession if you’re a girl, but I understand it gets you in the door. I just have no patience for the older anchor-lasses and their helmet hair trying to be excited about interviewing big sweaty athletes (I just don’t buy it). She knew it wasn’t for her though, TV exposure? Sure. Women’s basketball? Blech.

Here’s what I love about her… She totally knows what she’s doing. There seems to be a perception that smart sexy girls are hard to find. They’re either hot as hell and relatively empty inside, or they are too smart and don’t care enough about keeping up appearances because “it’s superficial”. Miss Munn on the other hand, is bringing a new kind of sexy back, in the form of the hot nerd. She’s the girl with the glasses and ponytail in the over sized flannel hiding a rocking body no one would know about if she hadn’t gotten mustard all over her shirt and had to change.

Sometimes all it takes is an interest in things that most people wouldn’t be interested in. I- for instance, like movies, namely, sexy parts of movies, and more namely, naked ladies in movies. Are there other girls out there that feel the same way? Probably (and if you know them, please get us in touch with one another)- but would they be willing to devote a considerable portion of life to it? Perhaps not.

She’s got the technical understanding, and can offer much more to the geeks of our time without seeming unapproachable. Guys have just as many questions about chicks as they do about Halo, sometimes they just need a really kind, sexy, trustworthy ear to get through them. G4 and Attack of the Show are great, they did an interview on skin but she didn’t come to the office (boo) but maybe next time. I always love to meet a fellow “O”.

She’s just starting to make her splash, magazines are first for exposure, then we’ll see her in a few movies, maybe a role in a series… and then a sex tape. Just kidding. Her first showing in Playboy was a little over 2 years ago, and was non-nude, but as you will see- she’s coming out of her shell… The spread is classy, tasteful, and smoking hot. I was going to cut my hair this week, but I think I’ll have to wait till after the photo shoot…

Big O chugs a beer at Bonnaroo

Friday morning I woke up and took a peek outside, there were already people flooding the few roads that lead to Centeroo (where all the music happens) and even though it was before 9 am the party had clearly started. I got the chairs out, set up a nice people watching venue, cracked a beer and started surveying the area…

Little did I know the real show was going on behind me, my neighbors were also up and while reaching for another beer I got a not so groomed shot of snatch that only Mr. Skin could appreciate… What a way to start the day! I would have gotten a picture but I was frozen with fear at the sight of unkempt muff (aka- the Furburger or Back-furburger).

It was kind of cloudy, but as I headed out to meet up with friends it was obvious that no one cared that it was a little chilly… The sun came out once we got to Gomez and it only took me about an hour to get a full on sunburn. Ouch! Since I was burning up under the hot Tennessee sun we made a quick stop at the general store for some sunscreen so I didn’t have to go all the way back to camp, then it was off to see Bela Fleck and take a nice nap under a tree like a true hippie…

I really wanted to see Al Green, but the conflict with Ani DiFranco wasn’t going to allow it. He ended up doing a short set anyway (I still don’t know why). There was no way I was going to miss Ani though, I’ve wanted to see her since high school, when Lady and I would listen to her blasting her “angry chick music” with our dear friend Christopher… I don’t think I’ve seen so many lesbians packed in together since the Gay Pride Parade.

Let me tell you- there’s nothing hotter than standing around four or five hundred hot ladies holding hands… All I could think about were tents rocking back and forth and passionate cries of ecstasy that only come with eating pussy. It was funny when she was talking about her boyfriend knocking her up, I thought, BOYFRIEND?!? I feel like a dumb ass thinking she was Queen of the Lesbians for the last 10 years.

The Beastie Boys did the their proverbial gig, and after a little rest 75,000 people and I bopped around at what was my first Phish show ever. It was pretty kick ass. Then it was off to Paul Oakenfold for a little reminiscing of my rave days, it was the only show I attended that I wasn’t offered any X… I can only assume they were all gone already. Dancing, sweating, touching… Ahh the good ole days. I don’t remember getting back to camp or going to sleep, but I do remember getting at least 3 of my favorite (and famous) one dollar garlic grilled cheese sandwiches- they are DE-LISH!

Saturday was booked solid, it started at 3:30 with Rodrigo y Gabriela (who are simply spine-tingling live). They had the big stage so there was lots of room for all the hula hoop girls to do their thing, it’s really fun to watch the good ones- the music was perfect for it. After a couple hours it was time to go see Gov’t Mule, with my favorite, Warren Haynes (sigh), he’s so good. He played Beautifully Broken, which is my favorite of his songs (along with Cortez the Killer). I then zipped over to see The Decemberists and watch the sun go down before slamming a couple beers and going to see The Boss. He played Santa Claus is Coming to Town which was totally high-larious, another great performance. I heard that Jimmy Buffet showed up, gotta love those last minute additions to the lineup!

I had to go back to camp and regroup, which again, I barely remember, and then back to Centeroo for some Nine Inch Nails at 1 am since it was their last performance in the US (possibly ever) after 20 years of making music. I was disappointed that I didn’t get to see Ben Harper or all of MGMT, but moe. was playing and I never miss them for anything.  It was 4 am when my head finally hit a pillow, or maybe it was a pile of Mr. Skin tissues, I can’t recall.

Sunday was relatively subdued, A little Erykah Badu from afar while trying to stay in the shade and some Andrew Bird before catching Snoop-a-loop… I love snoop, it was more like watching a show than a concert, he knows how to please a crowd. Maybe that was partly due to the massive cloud of smoke around the stage (if you’re outside, and it’s THAT smokey, everything is entertaining). I wanted to see more of Band of Horses since they were the closest replacement to My Morning Jacket who were my favorite band from last year, but Snoop just smelled so good!

Phish show number two was phenomenal- Bruce Springsteen jumped on stage for “Mustang Sally,” “Bobby Jean” and “Glory Days”. It was the last show of the festival and we were all so tired we had to go back to camp as we had another long drive ahead of us… We were a bit trapped by all the cars camping around us so we didn’t get out till the next morning which was fine- I didn’t want anyone falling asleep at the wheel.

Drew Barrymore and Justin Long

I think I’m going all out next year and getting VIP tickets. Apparently I missed seeing the few stars that showed up (namely Drew Barrymore and Justin Long). Other appearances included Solange Knowles who performed on Thursday, Margaret Cho, and Janeane Garofalo.

All and all it was a fantastic trip. If you haven’t been I suggest that everyone go to an event like this at least once in their lives… I found some boobie pictures on the Bonnaroo site for you, here, here, here, and at Bonnaboobs.com (LOVE the name).

Since I’ve been back I have missed my fellow hippies, it’s an amazing thing to see people feeling so free to express without being judged… Tank tops, bikini tops, NO TOPS- it’s my equivalent to Woodstock, and I am forever grateful to say that I was there.

Thanks for being so patient while I got the story together, and I do hope that my boobs were enough to tide you over.

The road to Bonnaroo

Last Thursday I ran into the office in my little black comfy dress and tall green rain boots to print out Bonnaroo tickets and make a quick post when one of my coworkers asked me if I knew I was on vacation.

At first I was worried that he was going to ask me to do something work related, I had been up since 6am packing up, doing a little baking for the trip, making sure I had enough glow sticks, and for whatever reason I figured that was good a time as any to start drinking since I wasn’t driving, or working that day… I knew I was on vacation, I was totally pumped, I was a few hours late getting out the door (as always) but I was buzzed and on my way…

After a few more quick stops it was time to hit the road at 12:45, making our way through stupid city traffic towards deathtrap 65 for a long drive to Manchester Tennessee. I was thinking about last year, how hot it was, the long hours of dancing till collapsing into a pile, funnel cakes… I was beaming. Then Kentucky came… 40 miles of “what the fuck” rain that was so bad you couldn’t see 2 feet in front of the car. We drove for nearly 2 hours at 30 miles an hour with the hazards on and semis flying past the car going twice as fast, I thought for a second I wouldn’t make it.

Once out of the monsoon, it wasn’t long before we jumped onto 24 and started watching for the “endless line” to get onto the grounds… After THREE HOURS of moving 20 feet every ten minutes I can finally see the gate. People are hoping to get in and set up before the rain started again, but one of the cars next to us said they had been trying to get in for eight hours without much movement (Yikes!). It was 12:30 in the morning at this point, and I was getting pretty antsy- but was pleasantly surprised that security didn’t really give a shit anymore and practically waved us in (I was almost bummed that I didn’t have to explain the giant bag of Mr. Skin swag in the back seat).

We idled our way through a sea of people walking around hooting and singing, drinking beers and trying to figure out where the hell they were camped at. The car stopped, and I swear the second I got out, stretched, and looked to the sky the rain came down like a cruel joke. Luckily, it only takes me 4 minutes to set up camp (no joke- I’ve been timed), but I did enjoy watching everyone scramble to get it done soaking wet as I’m sure I don’t have to tell you everything is sexier when wet.

It was almost 2 in the morning, but was excited I had finally arrived- and I wasn’t going to let the rain stop me from cruising around the park to see what was going on. Just as I had hoped, HIPPIES EVERYWHERE. I have never been around so many lovely people as I have been at these festivals. The girls are more beautiful than some of the celebrities out there, fresh faces, vegan bodies scantily clad in bikinis and (maybe) a skirt, and the BOOBS- my god, some of the healthiest natural breasts you’ll ever see…
